IRSG Secretary-General interview with Motoring Trends
The World Rubber Summit (WRS) will be held in September, 2020 in Cote d’Ivoire, West Africa. The summit takes place when the global rubber industry is facing several challenges from demand-supply anomalies and falling prices to sustainability and technologies of the new mobility. In spite of all this, the sector needs to explore every possibility to meet the future demand.
In an interview with Sharad Matade of Motoring Trends, Salvatore Pinizzotto, Secretary-General of the International Rubber Study Group, said the summit will discuss how repositioning of the rubber sector will stimulate economic and social growth and about the role of the African nations in the rubber economy in the next decade. He believes that the new generation tyre for the new mobility will need both natural and synthetic rubber.
